Dad's Chairs

Our parents bought these chairs in the early '90s, and they were used FOREVER by our Dad in his home office. We have always loved the shape of these two chairs, but the were obviously not living in this decade (or century!).  We decided that we would refinish these chairs, and we're so happy with the way they turned out!

How are you likin' the fabric on these babies!?

Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint!  This was our first foray into the world of milk paint, and we LOVED it.  This "grain sack" is a cool grey.

After one coat of paint.  Milk paint goes on easily but may take a few extra coats to completely cover you project.

We searched and searched, and FINALLY found some vintage burlap sacks at one of our favorite pickin' spots on Route 15, south of Leesburg, VA.

The finished product. We were thrilled with the way that these two chairs turned out.  We're so happy that we were able to take our Dad's old '90s chairs and bring them into 2015!  These chairs were sold in January 2015 for $50 each.
